This is what I read: Bowl officials are looking for a replacement opponent, but that would likely require taking a team committed to play in another bowl or waiting until another bowl encounters a similar issue and another team is left searching for an opponent. Another option, according to Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel, is that Wake Forest could face a team that has already played in another bowl, although that would require a waiver.
What a can of worms that would be!

does that mean the “we just didn’t want to be there” excuse is valid?

Isn't it just the QB at Pitt that's chosen to sit out the bowl game?

It's a short turn around, but it would be nice to get an 11 win season.

More but I call BS on TAM not having enough players. There are too many days between now and then. They also probably have plenty of walkons. They just see a possible L coming so they are using this as an excuse.

Jimbo said not enough scholarship players. They have enough players, but they’re just SEC skeert they’ll be humiliated by Wake Forest on National TV.

Put a team together from the portal! It could be a “tryout” for all those kids wanted to find a home somewhere else.

Is there a rule that says a team can't play in two bowl games? Let someone who deserved a better bowl play again.
