Short but a dangerous heat wave in Illinois

Been extremely hot here and the feel like temp hit 120 northwest of Chicago today. Was extremely brutal and actual temp was 101. Yesterday was no picnic with temps near 100 and feel like temp was 110. Me, ignored it and our golf league played. Drank so much Gatorade to stay hydrated it was ridiculous. They cut the league to 9 holes yesterday but we will have to play 27 next week. Tomorrow the temp will be only in the mid 80s.

Yeah, we're dealing with high heat, humidity, and poor air quality at the same time in OH. Not pleasant.

12:40pm North of Cedar Rapids Iowa yesterday in little community close to my parents. 96 with 126 Heat index from all the humidity due to corn fields sweating. Talking about miserable! Got up to 104 but it started cooking off humidity so index actually went down to 116.

College Station Texas says, "Hold My Beer" for the past 7 weeks.

The last ime the High Temperature was 90 degrees or below was July 6th. July 8th was the last time the high temperature was below 99 was July 7th, per Weather Underground. This does not include Heat Index values.

Texas is supposed to be hot. Northern Illinois not so much. Happens occasionally. When I left Texas in 1969, didn’t look back.

But yeah - no golf. Did go to the beach though in the afternoon. Started hiking some dunes but realized they was pretty dumb.
