UVa seemed to make every mid-range shot they took from the beginning of the second half on. Played great defense too. I was really impressed with their passing. They’re not going to blow a lot of teams out due to their slow pace of play but there’s a reason they’re so highly regarded.

Clemson lost the game because the shots didn’t go in. No other reason. Guys who normally shoot very well weren’t even close on many shots. Tyson is a terrific shooter. Hall is deadly. Last night they could even hit the rim.

We have players that are streaky. Sometimes they can't miss. Sometimes they can't hit.
It's honestly the quality of the player we have.
They are decent to good college players but aren't NBA level talent.
Every loss we've had is because of poor shooting.
There is no "Guys who normally shoot well" on our team.

3 31.8 - 26.3
FT 80 - 68.2
Tigers were 51.9% in all FG and 40% from 3 in the 2nd half... that is often good enough to win

They've been playing pretty bad the last 3 games. Shocked at their free throw shooting. They'll be an early exit from the tournament.

And I have been saying all season long that you need to have a meaningful inside and outside games to win in the ACC - We have not developed a consistent inside game and are very poor in finishing at the basket and all you have to do is play tight defense around our perimeter shooters to beat us! A very easy game plan for Virginia to accomplish!

Combine that with very poor ballhandling and passing which led to too many turnovers and fast break baskets for the Hoos!

So the guys are just terrible most of the time. Especially last night. They should just quit. Forfeit the next two games. Fire Brownell today.
Maybe even Virginia should do the same with the way they’ve been playing.

These are the kind of games Brad seems to never pull out. Makes the tournament bring him back. Does not make tournament let him go and let someone else see if they can get us in the tournament

And one other factor in our loss besides our poor shooting...we shot 5 free throws, UVA shot 22! At least two of the calls against PJ Hall weren't even close to being fouls!
