your reading comprehension is not too good. Did you skip over the part that Jack initially got him to commit? It began with JL. Then he was fired.....kid was confused, but Monte Lee got the kid back to Clemson for sure. Beer never decommitted to Clemson publicly or to any coach. Monte sealed the deal with a phone call. Both coaches deserve credit...50/50

again, your reading comprehension is bad.
"definitely ONE of those big things in my decision
He was already committed, coaching change, had to think about it and Monte sealed the deal. Would the kid have ever been committed to Clemson without JL or Lecroy? That is something we will never know. Would Monte Lee ever had called Beer if he were not committed to Clemson....I doubt it because Beer would already be committed to another school

NOT WHAT I SAID. I SAID HE WAS RECRUITED BY JACK AND BRADLEY AND FELL IN LOVE WITH CLEMSON WHEN HE GOT HERE. OF COURSE MONTE HAD TO RECRUIT HIM AGAIN WHEN HE GOT THE JOB. BUT HE FELL IN LOVE WITH CLEMSON WAY BEFORE HE KNEW MONTE. READING COMPREHENSION IS A GREAT THING.

Why do you remind me of my grandfather that is retired from the navy yard and now spends his days doing crosswords and catering to his addiction to ambien? You use all caps because you can't see the letters?

monte did have something to do with his recruiting,,,,but not before JL and Lecroy got his interest. Bottom line..Beer committed to both coaches

Nope - it's not. New era with baseball and it begins with monte lee. That's a different team and beer needed lee and monte responded. Golf clap for jack - I appreciate what he's done.

Jack needed to go. She said he had gotten stale and all Beer drinkers hate stale beer. What did we miss, a couple of trips to Omaha? I know I have not missed a home game this year and love the style we are playing. Its not Gorilla ball of the 90's but it is a lot closer than the last 5 years. We play sound defense and a great example is in USuC series they made mental errors throwing the ball to wrong person and allowed base runners an extra base. This did not show up in the score book but I noticed.

Thank God for Beer!

i always said during sammy's first season, thank god for sammy watkins. that maryland game was the pivotal moment. i have the same thoughts about beer and cant wait to see him the next three years. he is special, the kind that don't come around very often. made up my mind after seeing him play these first few weeks that i'm going to enjoy his time here and never take him for granted.
great article @davidhood

to Clemson was Coach Lee. He and I talked baseball for about an hour and a half. After that, I said, 'Coach, I want to play for you.' Since that time, I feel like it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life."
That pretty much says it all.

Want to know how I can tell this kid is special?
Mar 17, 2016, 4:34 PM

“I take pride in being a complete hitter, but it could change any given day,” he said. “Any great pitcher is going to be able to hit his spots and get me out, and that's just part of the game. You just have to tip your cap to them. It's a game of failure, and you have to be able to handle that kind of adversity.”
Chipper Jones has said this same thing many times in interviews. This is the absolute correct way to look at the game of baseball from a hitter's perspective. It's how you handle failing mentally. This dude is off the charts special. He should be playing in Rookie Ball right now.
