DJU Returns? Should he? Will it matter?

Was asked today if i want DJU to return. Tough question. I wish the best for him. But I have a stronger desire for our Tigers to well as a team.
If DJ was better than Cade this year (we can only assume he is since he started every game) then one might reason he'd be better next year. QBs tend to get better IF they have the right coaches who know how to coach them up. Not sure we've seen enough evidence that we have that right now. All we know is what we've seen:
1. DJ flat wore out a much better ND Defense (with an arguably worse OL) the previous time he played them in ND. But looked (with a supposedly better OL) lost in this year's game.
2. Cade K was identified by many coaches and recruiting services as being "college ready" when he arrived at Clemson. So either they were wrong and he wasn't, or he got worse - or at the very least didn't progress - under our current coaching staff. Face it, we've not seen enough to know what to expect from this kid.
3. Our play calling has gotten much more conservative and predictable. When my 11 yr old shouts "we're gonna run it up the middle on 2nd down dad"... you know we're in trouble.
So the real question isn't would we be better off if DJU returns... the real question should be, will we be better off if Dabo doesn't make any coaching changes before next season. THAT decision will have a much bigger impact on this team than who becomes QB1.
Thoughts?

and goes West young man to end up with a good program that has a scheme more suited for him..
and then Cade & Vizz can take over and not have to look over their shoulders at DJ U being the returning starter.
But, if DJU beats Miami, sc & unc then he "probably" returns And if he wins those & the Orange bowl..
then he's back at 13-1~

If he can do that Bill I’ll welcome him back but there is no way that he becomes a top notch QB in the next few games.

I was shocked at Streeter 's presser when asked about cade and why dj went back in. Said dj had confidence and rhythm going.. really? The series when cade came in, DJ had gone 5 drives that went nowhere. How is that rhythm? Totally dissed on cade, "wouldn't let him pass because we wanted to get him experience with his legs".
10 games into the season and says we still think the screens can work if.. running out of games there coach.
So to your points RU 4, I've got to trust Dabo that he and his staff understand the problems and will address after the season. That said, Cade needed a lot more series this season no matter what the score was.

With such a great ending to our season isn't it just as likely that he comes out for this draft. Or even more likely.

I agree with all that you said. But I noticed you didn’t mention Cade and the incoming Vizzina, another 5 star QB. I don’t think DJ is worth the risk of losing one or both of those guys. It’s tough to imagine how any stud QB, much less TWO, would want to sit behind a dumpster fire. I think he’s had his chance to be great and leave his mark here. It just hasn’t happened. Nor will it.

I think he will hang his cleats up. Has had enough football and realizes he is not what he thought he was.

He isn’t a quitter so he will not give up the game.
He knows Dabo will continue to play him so he returns.
This time next year you will be watching a rerun of 2022.
Cade likely will be gone and the new kid will be going thru the same thing.
Clemson will not be a top ten team next year.

Dabo's quote pre-season

“We wanted to get DJ in as often as we could during Trevor’s (Lawrence) last year,” Swinney said. “DJ is going to graduate in December. He has big goals and aspirations, and he knows what he has to do."

We have not had a QB issue and we have not had a coaching issue. Our receivers are very limited and play calling has had to work around our limitations at receiver. If defenses are convinced their D backs can cover our receivers and do not fear our speed, what can we do differently? It is painfully obvious watching other teams that we are not fast enough and we have to run the ball and throw short passes and try to get blocks. We are as good as our O line is and if Ship, Mafah, DJ and now Pace are able to run we can overcome the limitations at receiver.

I see DJ getting a fresh start with a team like Oregon next year. If it worked out well for Bo Nix, DJ would thrive there.

I am skeptical of some of the Dabo worship around here, but does anyone really think that Dabo is not starting our best QB - the one that gives the team the best chance of winning ?? Cause if he ain't doing that, I would like for him to resign immediately.
So given that Dabo IS starting our best QB, doesn't that indicate that CK has not been impressive enough during the week to earn the starting QB job (or even much playing time at all). I'm sorry, but the kid is not ready yet.
Please let DJ come back: 1. He is one of OUR kids and he has comported himself very well in representing our University on and off the field - a class act.
2. Let him get his Master's degree in a field in which he can be happy and make a contribution to our society, because I can't see him in the NFL.
3. Let's have an open competition for the starting QB position between DJ, CK. and CV. Iron sharpens iron and let the best man win. And then we have the best QB room in the country.
If any of these QBs want to run from that fair competition, then perhaps they are not the leaders that we are looking for.
