DJ gets Q1. Klubnick gets Q2.
Whoever commands the offense and makes the least mistakes will get to start Q3. If it’s a close game, I think Dabo goes with the experience and keeps DJ in.

In the first few games of 2018, KB played 2-3 series then TL played 2-3 series and whoever had the hot hand got to play after that. That seemed to work out pretty well and I wouldn’t be surprised to see something like that again this year.

I'm pretty sure from what Streeter said about CK playing some that he will play a little bit the first half and if the ball is moving down the field he will finish the series. Second half similar with the usual mop up duty at the end for CK. But DJ will start and finish the game...with good stats hopefully.

Not gonna happen. DJ could go 4 of 40 with 8 yards and 3 int’s and I’d almost guarantee you he plays 95% of the snaps. Loyalty is one of dabos faults. He played Stoudt when he knew Deshaun was better and KB2 when he watched him struggle week after week and knew Trevor was better.

The only way Cade plays in the first half is if DJ gets hurt.

Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, because we need DJ to be at full strength.
I think we will see Cade for a couple of series late if the game is a blowout, otherwise it’s DJ all the way. He’s clearly the starter. This is not an alternating series kind of deal.

Klubnick will play an early series to get him experience playing in in front of College Crowd before people start heading home. DJ had a bad year last year, but the talent level coming out of HS was about the same. That was not the case with Watson and Lawrence. They were clearly more talented than the retuning QB but lacked experience. I think I’m the back of their coaches minds previously the thought was “how can we get the new guy transitioned into the job”.
I think the plan right now is “how do we get Klubnick ready to start for us sometime between now and next September depending on how things shake out”. If DJ is who everyone thought he was going into last year, he will be the starter all year long- we will go to the playoffs- and he will be playing for an NFL team next year.
GA Tech is not a good football team, if we don’t beat them pretty handily because we don’t move the football- the QB strategy will change.
