Toriano Pride formally entered the transfer portal on Monday, and he joined 247Sports' transfer portal show with his old high school coach to talk the transfer and more:

He built his relationship with Venables while he wqas recruited and Venables left. Thats what he says.

This hurts more than Mukuba leaving. But, believe me, there are DB's out there who would love to have his roster spot.

He and his coach both handled that well and showed a lot of respect for the Clemson staff.

But when he said he's just looking for "opportunity," it seems pretty clear that he felt he didn't get the opportunity he would have if BV were still the DC.

It's got to be tough to be highly recruited, expecting to be a star, and then have some younger guys come in and really show out.

It will be interesting to see if he ends up at OU or Mizzou. I hope he gets the opportunity he wants and finds success on the field and off.

His HS Coach will steer him to Missouri. Many of these other schools will have limited to no interest in other players this guy Coaches. I want to give this guy the benefit of the doubt based on a 5 minute interview and what he said. It always seems a little sketchy when these guys have what looks to be a “handler” helping them make a decision. We are 3 or 5 years away from the first “ my handler promised me this NIL or that NIL deal and took my money” stories. I don’t think this dude is doing that, but is naive to not think that is going on.
