Listening to Deptula wondering where our Edge rush is coming from.bi realize Capehart is an inside guy but he's another one of those guys in their third year that hasn't made any noise to speak of.

Woods will start….
If someone doesn’t step up - it may be on the edge …
He can do it - much like Christian Wilkins…
The other edge …let’s hope XT stays healthy…
Outside of those two - we may be looking at another freshman…

Totally agree about Woods. Got to get him on the field and like Christian he can play everywhere. I’d move him all over.

I think a lot of folks will get time at the DT position beyond Ruke and Davis including Capehart, Williams, Page, Green, Burley and even Story. It is hard for us big guys to continuously bring the thunder, especially on long drives.
If Patterson and Denhoff have a good fall camp, that extra depth would help DE significantly. Yes, we may see Woods start opposite XT (or rotate in from time to time), but don't count out Mascoll. It is hard to coach experience.

We certainly do need some quality depth. I hate for Woods and XT to shoulder the burden as a single pair

Denhoff MIGHT contribute a little, but you can write off Patterson and Caprhart ( who has been injured most of career ). XT ? Pulling for him but will believe it when I see it. May end up turning to the McGriff kid, the walkon everyone talks about.
