a Top 2 ranked 5-star DB Saturday..while we are not on the same level, it seems, at this stage.
In fact, Bama, OHst & Ga all have left the rest of the normal front runners imho and believe I saw LSU at #3 and HC is leaving.
Please Tell me I’m wrong!

I will not say you are wrong. I’ve said it long before this season that when NIL gets approved, no way we can compete with those schools. The alumni bases are 3-4-5 times the size of ours. And in 2 of those cases, the Atlanta and Ohio markets are way bigger than this area.

Can't disagree. NIL is going to screw smaller schools entirely. We just don't have the same kind of money floating around in our alumni base as some of the larger schools.

Beating Carolina and getting to a bowl will again be our goals.

I actually thought this guy was a lock or silent commit or was at some point. As @ClemsonPaw once said, a lot of negative recruiting out there against us. That silent commit who went to Bama... And then Shaw to UNC. We have a great class, lots of studs, just not enough of them.
I posted in another thread last week, I miss Marion Hobby. He was unbelievable at identifying that 3* or low 4* talent on both sides of the ball.... or maybe he was just that good at developing talent. Think about the unknown players that not only went to the NFL but have flourished that he was in on recruiting.
I also question how much we're missing the Scott's in recruiting. I think we have great coaches but they are "young". I don't know.

Thats my answer for everything this season. I don't know. I've tried to rationalize and look at all the variables. At the end of the day, I don't know. I just don't know. It's perplexing.

all of these programs put out over 100 offers and Clemson seems to go "all in" on one person and when they miss they dont seem to have much of a backup plan.

Some of y'all need to go back and look at the recruiting rankings each year the past decade. This unrealistic revisionist history some of you have that Clemson racks up top 2 ranked classes is delusionally asinine. We have no idea how this class will end up but I'm glad so.me of you show your true colors with just a hint of adversity. obviously it's not good enough for you but no one is making you be a fan of a team that isn't meeting your standards. I'm sure Georgia has room on their wagon.
