One problem I'm seeing with bracketology & First Four......

Is that Pittsburgh and N.C. State are slotted as "First Four" teams....and we are on the outside looking in. In theory....we need for one of them to either be fully "in" (not First Four) or "out". Pretty sure the committee is not interested in a conference matchup in the First Four.
But I suppose they could invite UNC and make it an All ACC battle royal in the First Four....wouldn't that be a great look for the conference?

My bigger issue would be State getting in over us

after we whipped them three times, have clearly shown we are better than them, have a better record overall and in conference, no matter what the computers say

Being as bad as them would drag us down though.

We've had 5 "one nights" this season. Way too much.

it would be a hard sell to put NCSU in the First Four, and have Clemson as one of the last teams out.
That would do some heavy damage to the credibility of the system in years to come, imo.
NCSU either needs to be fully in, which means we are in… or they need to be out. An NCSU bud w/Clemson as one of the first teams out would be a very bad look for the committee, imo.
You’re talking about 3 games that weren’t even close.

It’s this year. Because that would help make Brad look better us.

They would just put them in different first four games

Not an issue I don’t think. Unless you mean all three of us could be in the last four in

There are four 11 seeds in First 4 and four 16 seeds…

3 ACC teams as 11 seeds would lead to one conference matchup. I doubt that would happen…hence the need for either Pitt or NCSU to not be a first four if we are going to sneak in as one.

Better than both those teams. 4-0. Road win

AT Pitt in our only meeting. They are fortunate we didn’t get a home game against them. Clemson should be the first team in out of those 3.

I don't think the committee will take NCSU over us. Though it doesn't mean that we both won't miss it.
We should all be glad Ohio State lost to Purdue, because that would have taken away another spot, if they won the Big 10.
Vanderbilt still might swipe another spot.

The problem with bracketology is……the primary basis for its supposed legitimacy is, a roomful of egomaniacal blowhards proclaiming themselves experts.
Other than that. It’s a perfect system.

I believe they will leave them both out. Also if it’s full body of work why isn’t the rules that whoever wins the regular season get the automatic bid? That’s more of a reflection of full body of work.

the season if we got into the First Four, had to play NC State for the FOURTH time this season, and lost to the Wuffies when it really mattered.
