aggressive as the REAL ones in my yard right now. I've never seen so many so late! They've taken over the dog's water bowl. And if I start digging anywhere you would think I had hit a nest.

When I was 4 years old in 1966, I got stung by 30+- Yellow Jackets. My parents called the doctor, and then they rushed me to the hospital. To this day if I get stung by 1, I swell up like a balloon. I keep an EPI pen in my golf bag just in case, and I always have Benadryl pills with me.
I hate those nasty creatures.

built a nest up under the backside of a rear bumper on a 1961 Ford Galaxie that I was about to rob the rear end out of. I reached my hand up and grabbed the inside of the bumper to pull myself under the car, and, you guessed it, hit their nest with my hand. Before I knew what happened, three of them flew out and got me, right in the center of the stomach. Felt like I had been punched! Luckily, not allergic, at least not back then. Butt, it hurt like the very debil!

My record is 9. I was mowing grass beside the road hitting some of that rough stuff you mow about twice a year. I went over a nest. They got after me...I gave them the mower and took off running towards our house. I got popped three times while inside because they were in my hair.
The sad part is my neighbor was also mowing. When my mower cut off the bees took off after him. He got popped 4 times just for mowing his own yard and minding his own business.

On March 15th next year, put out some Yellow Jacket Queen traps. They will attract and kill all the queens, thus no nests on your land.
