We probably both would have been challenged by that LSU team with Burrow and Chase.

The top teams in college football are drastically down compared to a few years ago.
Kirby's beating a field that's not nearly as good. Bama's not as good, Clemson's not as good, Ohio State's not as good, no LSU team, etc....
UGA is like the tallest dwarf. TCU was the worst team to ever make a CFP title game.
There's no comparison.

The transfer portal with the no sit out year has created more parity in college football. UGA was the best, but there weren't really any dominant teams this year. That same UGA team that destroyed TCU Monday night needed a late 4th quarter TD to beat 6-7 Missouri and beat mighty 7-6 Kentucky 16-6 and before the national championship game had played only 4 of 14 games outside the state of Georgia.
And of course in 2018 Clemson beat the greatest team of all time per most of the media.

Clemson wins! Clemson smashed a formidable opponent in the championship game. UGA smashed TCU.

The Bama team Clemson destroyed in 2018 was widely regarded as Nick Saban's best ever, and the most dominant College Football Team of all-time.
Formidable opponent, indeed.

include Punchable Face Joe Burreaux and 2019 LSU. I think any combination of 2018 Clemson, 2019 LSU, and 2022 Georgia would be some helluva interesting games!

2018 and 2019 Clemson would beat 2022 UGA, 2019 may be a tight game but 2018 would smash them. 2019 LSU would smash them to pieces and 2018 Clemson vs 2019 LSU would have been a tight but good game with Clemson coming out on top, Remember that we were up on them in the Champ game until our main LB went out.

True re:Burrow. However, he didn't play against the defense on that 2018 team. That LSU team against Clemson's 2018 team would have been a very interesting game.

For sure would be great games. I’d put this years Georgia team a bit below 18 Clemson and 19 LSU. If Georgia’s defense from 21 was mixed with their offense this year it’s closer. How 18 Clemsons O line held up would be the determining factor. 19 LSU would have still scored points, probably not 42, but maybe somewhere in low 30s, so that comes down to how Lawrence plays IMO

Ugay really don't have a pass rush. That will be their problem against LSU and Clemson. And both can run the football where OSU could not

Right, they were better last year in that category. Losing Smith hurt them there. I don’t think the 2022 defense could have kept them in a game with 18 or 19, but the 21 defense gives them a much better shot with D Line talent just as good as Clemsons 18 group
