While Marissa should forever be accepted as a de facto part of the Tiger family, she is actually an Anderson U Trojan.
She too is an NCAA student-athlete subject to their rules of fund raising, so it appeared for a little while to be a double-standard in enforcement: she can, Trevor can't. I can only figure the hullabaloo comes from Trevor being so high-profile, and the Clemson compliance office being very proactive to protect his eligibility.
Thankfully someone at the NCAA with a brain, authority and willingness to make a decision came thru.
