Has the ship righted, when can we get back to talking about leaving the ACC?

Certainly don't want to go to the B1G. I'm sure talk will start back up next spring but jmo, I think it's done for awhile. Obviously the pac 2 need a home. I just believe with the teams slated to start next year, the conferences, including acc will be all about integration of the new members that new are off the table for 2 years or more.
As stated above, we haven't been invited and apparently no one has found an exit from our albatross yet.
Even with that. Would you really have wanted to be in the sec the past 3 years. This won't go over well, but we seriously could have been looking at this year being the 3rd year in a row without a bowl appearance... depending on scheduling. We definitely wouldn't have been going this year. Had we played coots scheduling, we'd probably have the same record as they do.

the ACC is our home until we find a good, warm & welcoming structure that has the right price, sq footage and on a lot that’s not below water.

His comment about buying Clemson stock was directed at the SEC, methinks.

Clemson isnt going anywhere for all the oft-stated reasons.
It's apparent that the SEC and boring Big 10 are locked in and ready to cash in. And with it the balance of power is going to skew so heavily that all other conferences are going to be on the ol' ROY bus.
Which means at some point the big, legacy and yet jilted-by-TV and horrible GOR contracts schools like Clemson will pack up and form themselves into a third football-only super-conference.
Because they cant afford not to. There's just too much money at stake. Greed has ruined the sport.
And it paints a sort of dystopian future with coast-to-coast travel, huge TV deals, sophisticated NIL programs, hi-profile portal transactions.
You know --- professional football. All the money none of the soul. They'll have a CEO, a board, revenue sharing.
Maybe even an open-ended model like Premiere League where programs can promote in, devolve out based on performance and other metrics.
Maybe in time, new rivalries will form, new storylines will emerge and a new sort of pride will blossom as football programs that have detached from the schools that founded them find new fanbases in other places.
And I hate to say it, but the minute coaches like Swinney sign those $100M contracts, theyre signalling their support for the model that's killing the game.
That's because they're tying their value not to the student-athlete model that says a coach's value rests in the way he/she shapes and molds kids, but to the CEO model that says value is tied to how well the coach drives revenues to the school.
Its why I dont care what the multi-millionaire head coach of any team says, ever, about the purity of the game and shaping young men/women.
You ride with the CEO model, you die with it.
Therefore, just win, baby!

I think we should work on getting back and making this Top 12 playoff starting next year because this year we are nowhere near the Top 12.
