Legitimacy to ACC Departure

It was said that a “highly placed administrator” at Clemson says that we’re leaving the ACC…Sooner or later.
Is this legitimate? It’s actually been spreading successfully and sounds like it may be true.
And also, does a move like that still help us? I mean we’re dealing with our own program build-up. I know it’d help recruiting.

The additional 20-30 million annually for the Athletic Department is reason enough.

Somebody wanting clicks. Clemson isn’t leaving, because of the GOR and the coots voting against us. That could change down the road, but no time soon. Period.

What i have actually seen (could also be click bait) is we somehow found a way out of the GOR, possibly from some legal side caused by the acc adding 3 schools that weren’t originally in the deal? Not sure but I also don’t think it matters how badly scar wants us or not… they only have one vote so even if them and Florida voted no it still wouldn’t matter I don’t believe. Iv always said I’d prefer the sec but the way college football is moving the Big10 makes sense.

SEC is being nice…..USuC may THINK they have a say, just like A&M had a say about Texas.

Not saying it will or will not happen, but does SC actually have the sole power to prevent that from happening?

that Clemson is pursuing an ACC exit strategy. When and where are the $64,000 questions and remain to be seen.

Just $64,000? I thought the GOR was a lot more!

I would say the "or later" part pretty much makes it a fact. "Or Later" could be 2090.

I really wish Clemson, FSU and some other schools could get together to form another conference. Clemson led the way forming the ACC. I do not like the thought of either the Big or SEC. Travel too far or low standards. Think, let's do it again. Pick your poison. Let's do it Tigers!
