there are probably a few things happening with RRMCIII

first, he's had a wrap/cast on his hand that prevents him from making catches but they needed to keep him engaged and not lose focus, so, exercising at DB helps to redirect the focus and improve on his view of WR when he gets back to offense. it also sends a message to the DB's that if they don't step up, the best man available WILL play. I don't see RRMCIII threatened by Powell or Rodgers to the extent that he is not #1 currently, but that RRMCIII knows that he is valuable to the TEAM and the coaches want him on the field as much as possible... just IMHO...

When I hear "Needs to get stronger" and "Things are going fast"...usually that translates to "Needs a redshirt year, to get adjusted to the speed of play and get stronger
And there is nothing wrong with that...lots of great players have really benefited from a redshirt year

They might redshirt especially if ray ray is providing depth at corner... ray needs to play, he is a great athlete and needs to be on the field.....

And no not because he's a white DB. ??
He's basically the same exact size as Lynch (6'2" 225) and same kind of speed (4.3-4.4). And both are known for being fierce hitters. If he becomes anything like Lynch we'll have a great one. So excited about these young players. spot the ball!!!
