Seems Ross and Surtain would be a longshot, but if anyone can open their mind to close on Clemson it's Dabo. Good summary David. Thx for sharing.

Ross is not a "long shot" but a close battle with Alabama, which Clemson ultimately loses in the end. Surtain is a long shot where Clemson finishes 3rd or 4th.
Surtain must have a handler pushing him to LSU. Why would a 5 star kid from Florida spurn the in state teams, then even with out of state picks, not pick Alabama?

His father is from Louisiana and he has family there. I suspect his father wanted to play there but didn't get an offer (went to Southern Miss). They produce good DBs for the NFL.
There are reasons.
I think he ends up at Miami, though, due to proximity to his father and mother. No real reason to go to Bama, he already has a name, doesn't need any prestige that playing at Bama might offer. We shall see.

I really thought from the beginning that Ross was pretty much a Clemson lock. Would really be nice to get Ross but as long as we can get a shutdown corner.
Where are all our resident recruiting experts that follow all the info. Haven’t heard from t woods or 83 or any of them that had access to the sites. I kinda miss their input.
