David, stories like these are why tigernet is the site I check multiple times a day. Living out of state to go to grad school, not having the time or money to go things like the spring game or the championship celebration are hard, but the passionate stories you provide makes me feel like I got to experience it in a way just watching it on TV could never do.

Somewhat related to this story, though more so to an earlier one, I was in Buffalo Wild Wings at lunch today and they had the Fla. State spring game on one of the TV's. Compared to the crowd that we had in the Valley on Saturday, it looked like a small town high school game. We may not have gotten the 70,000 that Dabo wanted, but the 60,000 that showed up was something else, and I'm sure the downtown merchants appreciated it too. The picture associated with this story doesn't show it like we saw on the jumbotron in the stadium, but the National Championship ring is absolutely huge and it is beautiful. A great job. Maybe Tigernet will do a feature story on it and its design. Thanks for the great writing.
