My deep down feels can only mean another Natty

I mentioned on here last year that I always cry the night before our opener. This year will probably be worse than the last few because it’s been a really tough off-season. Don’t get me wrong, you can’t get your heart broken by being dumped on a Thursday if you don’t experience the joy of hooking up with the girl after a Tuesday night wing special at Buffalo Wild Wings, but the rollercoaster of emotions can mess with a guys head.

I am especially optimistic about this season starting though because I feel like my life is starting to take a positive turn. I reached a low point the night of my aunt’s third wedding when I snuck into my roommate’s room to borrow his doll while he was still out with my cousin. I’ve had a thing for ‘Myrtle’ ever since he picked her up at the pawn shop after we caught a heater on the $5 blackjack tables at the Big M Casino down at the beach. I know it doesn’t sound that low, but if you knew how dirty my roommate is it would make more sense.

Anyhow, the only off seasons that I dipped even lower were the summers leading up to our 2016 and 2018 national championships. I didn’t intentionally try to outdo myself this year, but knowing in the back of my mind that it might mean another Natty certainly helped eliminate any inhibitions.

I guess what I’m trying to say is “thanks TigerNet” for helping me get through this off-season and Go Tigers! I expect great things this year. I did my part.

I was upset about my roommate hanging out with my cousin so I didn’t clean out the tray. Petty and passive aggressive, I know. I apologized a couple weeks later.
