ETN as kick returner scares me a little. We must be really weak at that spot.

Yes, I hate to risk a cheap-shot injury on him.***

Yes but if that was the plan you’d just put a receiver back there.***

Older Tiger fans like me will remember Ken Swilling, Ga Tech

safety. Swilling, younger brother or cousin of Pat, was a 3-year superstar on a natl champion Ga Tech team. 1st team All-American. HC Bobby Ross decided to allow KS to run back the opening kickoff vs. Clemson to fire up the squad. Clemson hit Swilling hard about the 15 yard line. Swilling powered through it and ran 10-15 more yds until he was brought down by a pile of Tigers. He played through most of the game but was never the same. The guy went from 1st round pick to losing his NFL career. Sad story.

My 2 Cents

Don't like ETN returning kickoffs. I understand he'll be expected to do it in the NFL but I don't want him doing it for us.
Booth as a "co-starter" at CB is fine but that won't last long. At this moment, it's probably close enough they don't want to disrespect Goodrich.
Same for Bresee at DT with Williams and Pinckney.
I don't think it will take many games for Myles Murphy to pass K.J. Henry. I thought CBV said he would be a "co-starter".
Looks like Taisun will get backup minutes against WF instead of DJ.
My main concerns for the season are starters at WR and safety along with our backup O-linemen. Next year, I don't think we'll miss a beat at LT with Walter Parks replacing Jackson Carman.
Let's get this thing going!!!!!!

I have been saying do not overlook Taisun. That young man can scoot and throw.

I am a little concerned at fs and I aree that some of the other spots will change pretty quickly.

I know the coaches said how much better Taisun is this year. Sure.
But he was terrible last year, to the point I thought he might be unsalvageable. I want to see him show some actual poise and confidence throwing the ball against Wake. If not, DJ will blow right past him purely with arm talent.
I'm just so glad the season is actually starting. It's just becoming real to me today.

I haven't seen anything about how good booth/goodrich are. How do you know it is booth as the on that has surpassed the other?

They are close enough to be co-starters for game 1. I'm saying Booth's athletic ability will make him the clear starter eventually. His talent will overtake Goodrich's extra year of experience.

Why do you think Taisun will be the backup? Tony said he doesn’t know who’s going to run out there after Trevor and he isn’t listed as the backup on the depth chart.

My bad. I missed the word "or" on the depth chart so it could be either.

We will be fine at wr. Let's not forget we have 2 five star receivers that had a year to learn and expose themselves...add in veterans like rodgers, powell, and galloway to set the foundation...we wont miss a beat. Excited to see Ajou, Spector, Williams too. #gotigers

Agree about Parks when Carmen departs, and as long as he and RT Mcfadden(+ Mcfadden doesn't get any shorter-6'5">6'2") are healthy for the CFP, we should be fine. But OT depth w/ current roster makeup, (crosstrained/I know)will require moving an OG to 1st string OT & against playoff level comp, he could get exposed by a Vic Beasley type DE-

With WR depth a concern I wonder if we will see a little two back sets? I wonder if DK will see some time at WR as well? i know he addressed this but...

He’s been hurt so he missed some camp. He’s going to be very good with time. Next couple years.

Is he going to be a TE or lineman? There aren't very many 275-lb TEs.

So I have been pretty busy and also avoiding some of the TNet arguments tbh, but what is up with XT? If he banged up or is there something to it if he is not listed in the two deep? I cant imagine him being down that far, so imagine it must be an injury issue. Any intel?

Will Swinney at the #2....seriously? He’s going to get killed. He’s too small to play at the collegiate level.
