More raw talent than we've ever had....

Nov 23, 2012, 11:24 PM

Brownell is laying the groundwork for the long-term. I can't believe we have 3-4 players who now can create their own shot! We may make the NCAAs this year, but we are set for the future for sure. We are going to have nights like last night, where youth and inexperience hurt us, but overall, we'll be fun to watch. Go Tigers!

Agree wholeheartedly. I feel like Brownell hit on all of these Freshmen. Many teams have 5-7 guys that play in a rotation. This team has a legitimate 10-11 and if Coleman/Blossomgame were available, 12-13 guys who can play. With all of these available options, Brownell has a ton of combinations available to him. He also has the depth to play suffocating "D" and still keep guys fresh. Youth will likely hurt us at times this year, but I believe Brownell's system of winning by committee can be very successful at Clemson. This is going to be a fun team to watch as he interchanges all of these guys throughout the year. I for one am thrilled he is our Coach and I hope he is here a long time.

The ability to create a shot is key

we really had no one who could do that last year. Andre and Tanner were good players and great people, but neither could really set the tone in that way.

KJ has taken a big step forward and we can see how good this staff is at teaching in his development,

Hall is playing really well at the point, his assist-turnover ratio is insane.

Filer is a natural scorer who as he learns to play under control could become a real star.

Roper, who no one recruited and many said could not play at this level, has the ability to score. You can't teach that. This type of player is where Brownell's recruiting will get overlooked, but BB was right about him. Guy will be a sparkplug for 4 years here

Harrison(anyone else noticed how much physically he looks like Greg Buckner?) brings an all around game like Tanner did. Just a great guy to have on your team. A little luck helped us here and when he does leave and return from his mission in 2 years, he'll be a very mature, key piece of this team

Milt and Book are Milt and book, but as the conference season get's here I believe we'll see the best basketball of their careers.

If Sapp can do what he did yesterday, he'll help. He is one of the leaders on this team and very important in that role

So far it's been very encouraging. This is a key stretch for us to set up post season hoops. Chance to get some big wins(Purdue, SCU, Arizona), and just as important, avoid a bad loss like Coastal last year. Defense and rebounding can win a bunch of games, and we are a better shooting team than last year. Far more options to score
