Just my opinion, and MSU can have any kind of policy they choose, but
If he was in any kind of a personal relationship with her, and "he touched himself while on the phone with her, without her consent" as I have heard it put, and it was well over a year ago, he's done nothing illegal, or anything that's anybody else's business. What's next, having wives fired a couple of years after the fact for giving BJs on the honeymoon without the husband's permission?
Look, anytime somebody forces sexual contact on somebody, it's wrong. But boyfriend and girlfriend talking dirty or using foul language on the phone? Seriously? Is this even real?

They loved him in year 1, but last year everyone started to say that it was the worst contract in college football and MSU started to feel the same. This was a convenient way out of it.
You're right that if had things rolling and they were top 25 this would have been nothing at all.
