If the stars align and that golden horseshoe doesn't fall out of Baby Beamers @$$, they may manage to sneak-up on five wins, but I think it's fair to say five wins would be their ceiling.

I think he should be sentenced to stay there forever. They deserve each other.

They're still paying him, so maybe he would consider coming back.***

The USUC FB team is like the CU basketball team. Both are traditionally mired in the "NO ONE" will ever turn the program into a winner class. It is what it is. The two programs cannot recruit top talent due to its history of mediocrity. You can't have a winning program without having your share of the top talent. The three GOAT FB and BB coaches in college FB/BB cannot win consistently and play for natties with a team full of average talent.
It's a job most of the top coaches do not want to take on. It usually ends in failure and if a coach has any success, they move on to a better gig. The only way I see each program succeeding is to find a top coach who has played for a natty and been in the top five teams consistently that is fairly young (45-50-s yoa) who has at least 10 years of coaching left and throw an amount of money for a 10 year contract that he could not turn down. In the long run, it would probably be economically cheaper. I'm talking 20 million plus a year and pay the DC and OC big money as well for the FB program.
Basketball coach would have to be paid 10 to 15 million per year. The top 5 current BB coaches are being paid 6-10 million plus per yr.
Will this ever happen? Probably not. Will the two programs remain mediocre? Based on the past, Yes.

What people forget about Mayo Boy, is that most of the talent was recruited by Muschamp. They are now all gone. And he's proving he can only realistically sign 2nd level talent. I think he's gone after next season.

I hope you're right, but a sizable portion of our fanbase loves him for some reason.
I just don't get it.

I hope he stays, I truly do. Your cheap Dabo imitation cheerleader head coach is in over his little head.
