The committee met and their mandate was to vote on best 4 teams to play for a Natty. The FOUR best teams at time of vote (today?).
FSU is NOT one of those 4 as of today. Yes, they ran the table but now have a serious issue at QB.
Don't know about Bamma getting in. Don;t know about UGA left out. Argue all you want about SEC blah blah. But right know I believe the votes are correct for FSU out.

Hah No. it comes from my time in Vietnam and was walking point. We were going thu some very high elephqant grass and I had my head above so I could see and direct our platoon. Later, my platoon SGT told me "you were walkinging mighty tall in the grass" So I was called WT. This was 1968 and the movies weren;t out yet.
Back in the day,, no doubt I would kick Pussers' ###... Stick or no stick... lol

Please show me the criteria that says the "best four teams at the time of the vote (today)". I kind of thought it was the most deserving four teams based on their performances throughout the season. I thought the idea was to try and eliminate as much conference bias as possible.

Based on the past, part of considering someone as being among the 4 best teams is a conference championship since that would be the last best chance to prove yourself. I think FSU got left out because they did not value the ACC as being better than the other 4 Power 5 conferences.

So it's not as cut and dry as who are teh best 4 teams at the end of the season. If so . . what you do during the year means nothing. So . . what you did during teh season counts. They lost their QB. That's a tough pill to swallow. But they managed. Then why penalize them? No one beat them. yes we should have and they were rough in a couple, but look at what happened to them. How would you feel if in 2018 Trevor got hurt and the committee left us out? For that reason?

YOU don't KNOW that. That's the problem. You can't objectively say Bama is so much better because they needed a prayer and a no call on a pushoff in the endzone against unranked Auburn LAST WEEK. Maybe you're age already has you forgetting that, but it happened. Meanwhile FSU with a true freshman QB beat RANKED Louisville.
I'm so tired of the "we know who's the best" argument. No, we don't. If we did, we wouldn't even need to play.
