I think this becomes a battle between SEC/ESPN and BIG 10/FOX. That will eventually drive the future for Clemson and FSU.

The PAC 12 is closer to death than the ACC. Regardless, the driver to this...AND a big feather in the cap of the B1G/Fox is they can have eyes on games from noon EDT until 1:AM EDT (the next morning). Does the SEC (or whatever they ultimately decide to name themselves) need to counter in some fashion, or simply remove the potential that their part of the 'viewed' world can be infiltrated?
One needs to dismiss the 'no one watches Stanford, etc.' argument. If Ohio State is at Stanford at 10 at night...eyes are watching.
At day's end...who fights over the middle of the country...as that's what it's coming down to, as well.
Lots of variables...moving parts...rather entertaining, to boot.
Still...gonna be messy. Lawsuits are coming...but, a change is gonna come.

I don't see the SEC doing anything. They added 2 of the most historical brands in the game and 16 seems like a perfect number.

I think Clemson hopes we get better revenue sharing and if FSU does bolt they'll watch how that works out financially for them. If FSU fights the GOR in the Courts Clemson will take that win or save the cost of the loss.

David Hood posted on FB that he knows FSU admin is DONE with the ACC and the B1G is not done expanding. Conjecture from conversations with a Bucknut media person was that the SEC will want new markets, regardless of Clemson's brand. B1G also will want new markets and a southern footprint. He also stated Clemson has looked into AAU membership. Coincidence?... 🤷♂️

I just hope we don’t somehow end up in the BIG 10 or whatever it’s called. Would not want to see us traveling to the upper Midwest for games. I’d take the SEC over that any day.

SEC would be fun but I think Big10 going to continue being the best paid conference out there. I’d rather be tied to Fox (Big10) than ESPN (SEC) right now. ESPN been hemorrhaging money and if Disney decides to stop the bleeding and cast them off, Fox going to be the clear victor.
