Louisville in the Orange Bowl

Dec 2, 2023, 11:08 PM

will be a huge mismatch.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If FSU makes playoff...they should figure a way for N.C. State to go to Orange..

Dec 2, 2023, 11:19 PM

They will be 9-3, were 6-2 in conference....played tougher schedule than Louisville.

I guess they would need to be ranked higher than Louisville by the committee for that to happen?

Idk but ohio St vs Louisville will be a bye for OSU.

Nooooo. NC state has never been to a big time bowl (just like Scar) and I prefer to keep it that way.

Yes the committee will have to rank NC State higher than Louisville for State to go to the OB. I assume the OB people would make that call as to who they want and I see no reason why they would want Louisville

I don’t think the Orange is required to take Louisville

They have a selection, they pick who they want in the pool of teams with ties to the bowl

Yes, that’s my point

I don’t think that is true. Pretty sure the CFP committee picks the NY6 owl matchups.

If I remember correctly I thought there was a provision for Notre Dame to be able to take an ACC spot depending on the circumstances. Could be a rematch with the bucknuts

I think I would almost prefer that happen. Really don’t want to see Ocryo St dominate an ACC team.

No. The clause is that Notre Dame can be an opponent for the acc in the orange bowl, not take the ACC's place.

Louisville is very pedestrian.

Louisville would have a hard time if they had..

Dec 3, 2023, 12:30 AM

To play in the S.C. high school 5A championship

Lets not get too crazy now***

If we played Louisville's schedule in the order they played it, we would be 10-2 or 11-1 and would have beaten yesterday's FSU team pretty badly.

Louisville top 20 is a joke. They looked horrible last night and have now lost 2 in a row.

I guess yall didn't watch Louisville walk all over Notre Dame.

That game is one of the most confusing results of the CFB season. I still don't get how that happened. I watched most of that game and just couldn't process what I was seeing on the screen. It really made me wonder if Marcus Freeman is the right man up there.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think he is

Dec 3, 2023, 11:07 AM

He beats good teams but rolls over and loses to doormats like last year to Stanford and Marshall

Orange bowl takes winner of ACC Title

Not if that winner is in the CFP.

Louis-ville is just a pretender. Nothing more. Luck and scheduling is all they had this year.

But Louisville has 10 wins, right???
And haven’t we been told over the last 3 years that10 wins made us a top tier team???

Or could it be that 10 wins playing an ACC schedule isn’t that big of a deal

Louisville lost to Pitt and Kentucky? It what world should they be ranked above us? Answer. The committees world. Just to demonstrate how flawed the process is.
