I agree.
It’s like Georgia and Bama were allowed to play the game in a vacuum last night. All context of the rest of the season went away and they were only judged on that outcome, excusing the poor performance and the miracle it took to overcome Bama’s loss the week before.

Ohio State won it all with a third string quarterback. They weren't stripped of that right because someone went down.
While I do not have all the answers this mess was avoidable. The selection committee has officially screwed themselves with their creeping incrementalism. Four teams were never enough, but they couldn't stand going to a four team playoff. They loathed moving to a 12 team version because they made it crystal clear there would be no more than four when they rolled that out.

Their record? No. Based on how we think they will do. Yes I don't think FSU could beat those other but you never know. With there #2 coming back and a little time to work with the starters on O, who knows.

If Clemson’s offense had been more impressive during our turnaround… you could make the argument that Clemson is currently one of the 4 best teams.
But we’d still be 8-4.
Record should matter.
And you can’t do better than 13-0 after 13 games.
