100% Christian and believe in my faith but do we really need to be baptizing guys out on the practice field? It seems a bit much. This couldn't have been done in the locker room or something?

If it is what Nuk wanted then why not? I could understand your argument if it were a coach's decision.

I wonder how people would feel if a Muslim guy on the team or a Jewish guy wanted to perform some ritual at practice. This place would be in meltdown that they weren't "focusing on the game" or whatever.

Maybe the place where he has developed as a person for 3 years and the place were maybe some of the most influential people in his life have guided him and shaped him as a man? A place where he's learned how to better himself? Where he's leaned how to lead others?
Maybe this is a special place for him... just sayin.

God have mercy on your soul. Fool. I say fool because in his heart the fool has said there is no God. If you believed in God you would not make such ignorant misguided non funny questions.

Not your call. It is a personal and individual decision. God does not mind where you are baptized. Why should we? It it time to drop the issue and grow up.

Can we please let this drop? I am not Christian. If Nuk wants to be baptized on the field, I have absolutely no problem with it.
I don't care what religion the team coaches and members practice, as long as it doesn't ostracize recruits and players who don't wish to follow suit.

I believe it was done at a closed practice, not like it was pushed down the media's throats. A tweeted pic leaked out and only then did the media and public talk about it.

Doesn't really fit my taste either but it is a public action and the person being baptized is really the only one who can say how public they want it to be. Now if there is any ulterior motive behind making it public thats not a good thing but I see no reason to suppose thats the case with this situation.

Just seeing this..... But I'm elated that Nuk wanted his teamates to see his demonstation of faith. Just like the veterans had 'baptisms' in the desert in Iraq, this kid wants to be among his closest friends/"family" and show the world that he is a believer.
Maybe this will influence some other young folks who are the fence with their faith.
I say GO NUK.... and GOOOOO Tigers! usrygs
