This kid needs to be on the field. Atleast have him return kicks. He just has that burst that you don't see often and def. don't have with any other player on this team.

I agree. These younger guys are hungry and play hard and go full bore.

Hoping we don’t try to bulk him up too quickly like Feaster. His speed looks special.

I think he needs to play more, if the coaches don't think he's ready, just put him in certain offensive plays, it seems like Haynes has speed to take it the distance Shipley and Mafah get ran down each time they break away.

Comparing his first time out to TE9 is pretty audacious.
I remember my first glimpse of TE9 was just that, a glimpse, as he raced down the sidelines for a TD at Louisville.

Not only that, but before that Louisville game there were reports of Travis breaking runs off against our defense. Travis also had lower body strength to break tackles as a freshman. Haynes may have that but I say it’s way to early to compare the two. He needs to break a run off against someone with a pulse.

I just poasted yesterday that he needs to be on the field. We don't have "elite" speed in the backfield unless he's in the game.

I don’t feel we have elite speed anywhere at the offensive skill positions. Agree that Haynes speed looked different than our other skill players. Would like to see him get some more reps.

If you look at T. Brown and J. Haynes

reported 100 meter times, Brown is by far the faster player (at that distance). You're right that Brown has legit track speed, and I think he's going to be needed if this offense is going to go anywhere.

our Tigers have seemed to lack elite speed the last couple of years. Shipley is quick, shifty, fast, but gets caught on every long run. Williams is quick but also does not have the speed to run away from anyone.
I hope Haynes can provide that. And if he can, he definitely needs to see the field more often.

I agree on Haynes. He needs to be in the rotation already as a change of pace back. Great first step and vision.
