I’m I being overly concerned

When I say that UT will come after the new quarterback on his first snap with the mindset that he has to be put out of the game? They are very aware that there isn’t another QB on the team who can come close to beating them. With CK in the game they likely will lose the game. With him out they will cruise to an Orange Bowl win. A very well designed offensive game plan will be a must and the OL has to play their best game of the year.
I expect that Dabo will try to put CK in a position to quickly get rid of the ball. Fortunately the Tigers have some time to get everything in place.

I hope that you are right .... but it’s going to take a lot of work to get him ready to play well enough to beat these clowns,

No, he is ready (forget Streeter) and they can scheme around the blitz’s. Cade is quick enough to react, TN has no D.

Even if they throw everyone at him it won’t add up to much.

They'll come after him pressure wise

as that's what they try to do. Not sure it will be about knocking him out. He needs to make the hot reads and get rid of the ball, something DJ always struggled with. Chickens OL isn't as good as ours and they kept Rattler upright, and Rattler killed them when he got out of the pocket as their backend is awful

One really good thing about CK is that he has a quick read and release, gets the ball out in a nano second as compared to DJ (and many others). That and his accuracy makes him dangerous.

Overthinking it…they are coming to play football like us…

The only teams that I have really questioned whether they ‘intentionally’ want to knock QBs out are Syracuse and Alabama (back when DW4 was QB) Otherwise, teams just play and attempt to win. Not sure they think too much about such things…they just try to win against whoever they line up again…like we do.

I tend to assume when we play Cuse that their game plan is actually to put our QB in concussion protocol.

I suspect Tennessee is going to face a completely

different animal up under our center in Cade Klubnik.
We have to remember Cade faced all types of teams in Texas, playing at their highest level, 6A, and led Westlake to three state titles. Underneath his soft, gentle exterior lies a beast within the likes of which we've only had a small glimpse!
A clue to his prowess was his suggestion for that pitchback play to Mafah, who showed his skill with that left-handed pass to Cade. I fully expect Cade to be a major part of playcalling henceforth due to his experience and know-how in execution.
Here's what I believe: we are getting ready to witness a level of play from that young man, which will enervate the entire team into beast mode. We are going to see a Quarterback who will DEMAND excellence, not only from teammates, but from the staff, as well. And we will be on our feet yelling, screaming, cheering the likes of which we haven't seen in quite a while!
You know, FT, I really pity those poor Vols. I really do. They're good people. But they're getting ready to have an avalanche launched against them that'll make skin crawl...on both sides of the ball.
RIP EM UP, TEAR EM UP...,TIGERRRRRS GIVE EM HELLLLLLLLLLLL!
