If You're Going To Talk About Dabo Leaving

You should probably wait until Friday because that whole idea is a joke. Dabo's best days are not behind him. In fact, every program eventually goes through a rebuilding process from time to time. Usually, the head coach begins that process by making a few staff changes and begins the development process of the new round of recruits. Dabo seems to understand this process because he's already successfully completed it whenever he got rid of several staff members after being hired on as the head coach. He then changed the defensive coordinator and added some others along the way. Dabo and Clemson are here to stay for the foreseeable future. I mean, who would replace Dabo? The Clemson faithful should do well to remember the days that followed Danny Ford. What a nightmare that was. People should be grateful to win 10 games a season for 3-4 seasons during a rebuilding phase and go on another 5-6 year run in the playoff. To me, it's worth all of the heartache and headaches that come with it.
Neither of the teams who have the best NIL or portal transfers are in the National Title discussion right now. So, while we are at it, we can all take a deep breath and just keep our crazy thoughts to ourselves regarding that. Good gravy, talk about knee-jerk reactions over 2 losses. I believe we will probably win out. However, if we have a loss to ND, and still win our bowl game for a 13th consecutive 10-win season... Just know that we are 1 of 2 teams in the nation who can lay claim to such a feat.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME! GO TIGERS!

Keep in mind that Frank Howard overstayed his welcome at Clemson for 10 years beyond his glory days. It was so bad at one point that students were hanging dummies of him in effigy at Tillman Hall because of the condition of the program. This was while his son was attending Clemson. Frank Howard eventually retired from coaching and took a position in the Athletic Department. The rest is history of course and I don't believe that the program is currently in that condition. We still have a bevy of recruits that want to be part of the culture at Clemson, and that culture was created by Dabo's coaching philosophy based upon coaching with a purpose driven approach instead of results driven approach. In maintaining that philosophy, Top Quality Recruits will choose Clemson.
Sure, a team or two will have great temporary success by exploiting the transfer portal and buying recruits with NIL deals, but they won't be able to sustain that level of success year after year the way Clemson will be able to. Especially, if Dabo stays and continues in the methods, he has the most belief in.
AGAIN! MORE WITH LESS! GO TIGERS!

A thousand times yes. People on here clearly either weren’t alive for that or weren’t fans during those days. They also don’t understand that we are navigating a lot of change starting first with Covid which hurt our recruiting and development, then portal/NIL chaos, all while losing coaches and navigating that change. I too think we’ll win 10 again and with a pretty challenging road to go and look back and admire the results while also lamenting what could have been. We’re continuing to recruit well and any recruit that saw that environment yesterday has to want to be a part of it. Next year starts the 12 team and we’ll be in it.
