Transfers and Recruiting

I don’t get on here much but with all this complaining about transfers and recruiting I thought I’d put my $.02 in. With the success Clemson has had we are going to see some kids transfer, whether they are frustrated from being behind upperclassmen or getting passed by younger and superior talent. As far as the recruiting side now more than ever kids nowadays have a growing sense of entitlement and instant gratification. They don’t want to have to wait and learn for a couple of years before they get there chance. If it were me I wouldn’t mind being able to save my body and be able to learn from one of the best coaching staffs in the country. But I can understand where some of these kids put in a lot of work and want to enjoy the fruits of there labor sooner rather than later. I don’t agree with it but I understand it. Clemson will continue to recruit at a high level and get highly rated/high character players. I’m not worried but it seems a lot of people on here are. Again just my thoughts on this. Take it with a big old bag of salt.

I think Dabo has changed his philosophy. Instead of recruiting the 5 star guys, we are gonna take the diamond in the rough 2 or 3 stars who don't feel entitled and don't transfer. Maybe more like a Boston College type approach. Nothing flashy, but good enough to win a few ballgames here and there.

Look no further than Zaccheus. We told him no before he could even tell us no. That's why Venerables was at his Spring game announcement. We didn't want to risk the transfer.

transferring is the best option. Recruits see this and choose lesser programs where they can control the starting positions sooner than never.
