The only reason we beat UNC is because Roy blew it and didn't foul. I will take it though.

you could have stopped after "Roy blew it"

because there were so many coaching blunders he made to close out regulation. Yes not fouling was one, but that was one of the worst coached last 2-3 minutes of a game. I will gladly take it and let him wallow in the fact that his career will no longer be remembered for the championships or success, but instead as the first coach to lose to Clemson at home.

Advocating for doing what’s best for a program does not make one a pumper. Advocating for a knee jerk firing of a coach when said coach is not the problem is the work of a lazy dufus

I would not agree that BB does not have any responsibility

in our struggles. Yes there are other mitigating factors that go well beyond him, but I wouldnt say he is completely without any responsibility

Think about that, we are in such rarified air in Men's basketball now, that we can beat pitt twice in the same season, UNC at UNC and Duke and still say fire the coach cause he ain't getting it done!! Blasphemous I say!!

Pitt twice? Did we play a double header last night?

Is supporting Brownell being a pumper? What a joke.
No, my mindset wouldn't change. I would still support Brownell.
Unlike most of the posters here on Tigernet, I am not bi-polar and don't over-react from game to game.
My expectations weren't much going into this year because even without injuries, it was going to be a rebuilding year.
What we are seeing right now is exactly what I wanted to see out of this season. Building chemistry, growing up our young players, and improving throughout the season.

“Rebuilding” what? Have to have something built to rebuild it... last years team coming off a sweet 16 was the biggest disappointment and missed opportunity for BB , that could have been his turning point. I still support and love Clemson basketball but I believe he will get one more year regardless. Unless DR wants to make a move bc let’s face it, LJ is dead right now , the fans are giving up on him

Ok, maybe I should have said down year? You know what I meant. You just want to argue and bash Brownell.

Reverse the question, and you'll find your answer:
If we had beaten Miami and Wake the second time, would the bashers still be bashing?
Since we're speaking hypothetically, we don't really know. But I suspect the answer to both questions is "yes", because our conclusions are not as evidence-based as we like to pretend. We tend to form conclusions before finding the appropriate data to support them. Then we cite the selected data as reasons why our misguided brethren are in the wrong.
I believe the evidence to support Coach B is overwhelming right now, especially since we are mid-year. We are in the midst of a very successful rebuilding year that could actually be transformational to this program, yet we are not celebrating or acknowledging the achievements and developments of the 13 guys on our bench for fear that acknowledging it could force us to keep our coach who apparently reeks of mediocrity.
