If they took that deal we will get what

We absolutely deserve, the gap in money is only going to increase especially when the worst team in the SEC/BIG10 will be making wayyyy more money then the ACCs top teams

It has been that way for years and our facilities as good as any SEC or Big10 school.

The gap is only going to get wider

We will NEVER catch up as long as we are in the ACC no matter what they do.

It hasn’t been that way for years.

It’s not nearly as wide as it’s getting. Some of you just don’t understand.

Any school with national aspirations in any sport will not be able to remain in the ACC under the current structure. By the end of the contract each member of the B1G will have taken in a billion dollars
($1,000,000,000) more than each member of the ACC and each member of the SEC will have taken in about 800 million ($800,000,000.00) more. That simply isn’t sustainable. By 2036 Clemson wouldn’t be able to compete with Rutgers and Vanderbilt much less Ohio State , Michigan, Alabama, and Georgia.

How did it get to this point

Was the ACC commissioners that stupid or inept?

Did we sign too long of a deal, for too little?

Was the SEC and B10 commissioners just smarter and kept smaller length deals in place as to keep going back to the negotiating table and demanding more?

Can the ACC not draw as much money? Seems that viewership numbers would be in our favor. Right?

Yes to pretty much all of your questions. Add to that the fact that most of the teams in the ACC have been mediocre at best over the last few years causing there to be less television viewers than the B1G and the SEC. That’s why the ACC can’t go back to ESPN and try to get more money (plus the fact that ESPN can’t afford it.) I know we’ve all gotten tired of hearing it from the pundits and especially from our Capon friends but it’s true- ACC football is not as good as SEC football. Where would ACC football have been for the past decade without Clemson?
