I am hitting the portal after this season. DJ is clearly a great kid it just has not worked out here. In the best interest for him and the program that he leaves and goes somewhere with an offense that fits him. I think it is more of a when not if, we'll see if he leaves before or after the bowl game.

I would worry about any star player. How much would the market bring for Carter, Trotter, Shipley and a few others on the team. I could also say the same for other stars on other teams. Young at Bama could make a lot of money if he put his name in the portal so I want be shocked that this starts to happen.

He’d do better in a spread out air raid offense.. quick throws and defenses can’t blitz as much having to cover five receivers out wide

He's definitely not leaving before the bowl game and honestly I'm not sure that he is leaving at all. Why not participate in senior day if you are leaving? He's graduating in December so if he's leaving I'd think the he would have participated.

the athleticism and decision making ability to be a major college QB.

He could play for a smaller school that plays lesser competition his last two years.
