Mob-(from Oxford)--a large crowd of people, especially one that is disorderly and intent on causing trouble or violence
I guess the mayor would have us now differentiate between a "large gathering" and a mob?
Furthermore, he stated that it was unfortunate that people were arrested. Why was it unfortunate based on their actions?
Lori actually may have been better and that's a low bar.

Giving him a tiny benefit of the doubt...he says this:
"To the best of their ability, I believe that they attempted to engage with our young people, with community partners – giving as much warning as they possibly could," Johnson said. "And you know, unfortunately, arrests were made. Unfortunately, some damage was caused. And the level of sensitivity and patience that our officers expressed = I'm appreciative of that."
But I am reading this as people acted out and got arrested and that was unfortunate - the arresting was not unfortunate, but the acting out was.

I think it's unfortunate that the mayor seemed more concerned with the media referring to these criminals as a mob rather than a large gathering.
I'm sure that focus will lower the risk of future unfortunate actions by large gatherings of individuals who were ? mostly peaceful.

Very few large cities are run by republicans. The worst of the bunch are run by democrats. Chicago is pathetic. So are many others.

Which Republican run cities have mobs like that and excuse the behavior as a large gathering. Which Republican cities had BLM mobs destroying property? I’m just asking because maybe there was one? If there was tell me. But the ones I remember are the democrat crap hole cities.

If the Chicago mayor lies often enough about the non-existence of mobs, then those lies become ‘true.’
The next step is for left wing supporters of Mayor Johnson to redirect the conversation away from him and over to Trump or mayors of other places that are Republicans.
