that dude blasts every kickoff out of the back of the endzone, and he is money on the FGs. All of our drives that stall on the 35 or so... boom, 40 or 50 yard FG. All of those 3 points add up, and change the opponent's strategy late in the game. I don't think I've been so confident of nailing a long FG since Gardocki was here...

... not having to cover kick off returns the past three seasons has been an under-appreciated blessing, and (for most of) the past two seasons he has been money with his FGs!

We will definitely miss him.

Potter is the best kicker we have ever had, and he has consistency and range. None of our other great kickers have been so consistent on the long ones. Gardocki was a great kicker and punter, but he was not as reliable on FGs as Potter, especially at long range.

Just out of curiosity, I looked up his stats... 420 points, and

nailing FGs at about a 80% clip... many of them long range. Has missed one XP out of 217. And slamming kickoffs out of the endzone. And to put those 420 points in perspective, that's the equivalent of 70 touchdowns. Yeah, 70 TDs...
