This is how the left operates. NY has had unconstitutional gun laws for years. When their law reaches the Supreme Court and is ruled unconstitutional they just change a few words and continue with what's basically the same law knowing it'll be years before the new law reaches the SC again. They couldn't care less about the Constitution and neither do all of those supposed moderate Democrats who keep voting for them.

So once again we have yet another leftist imposing a rule in response to a problem but readily admit their "solution" will do nothing to stop said problem. Then WHAT THE HE.L.L ARE YOU DOING IT FOR??
Ignoring the constitutional questions surrounding this act and the tyrannical concept that a single elected official can simply self-declare whatever they want as an "emergency" in order to enforce whatever draconian rule upon the citizenry they desire (ignoring all other elected officials and the legislative process), this whole affair speaks to why I absolutely abhor leftism. Too many on the left want to rule by decree and foist their emotionally driven stupidity upon the citizenry that does nothing to solve a problem but simply restricts the rights of law abiding citizens.
Why do we (the collective "we") continue to elect these kinds of stupid people to positions of power??
