and used that as a reason not to get the vaccine, does today's FDA approval for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine change your mind?
Or are there still other concerns holding you back?
This isn't an inflammatory post, just an honest question.

If you think the FDA is keeping you safe, you would be wrong
History is littered with FDA approved meds that had to eventually be recalled

I agree, FDA approval doesn't mean much to me.

Lack of FDA approval didn't cause me any hesitation whatsoever in getting the vaccine. I was satisfied with the research that had been done prior to its release.
I'm more curious about those who have refused the vaccine thus far based on it not being FDA approved. I'm guessing most of them will now use a different excuse for not getting it.

As a news distraction?.....

you and I discussed this point a few days back....
I can agree the FDA was being pushed to accelerate approval, but "strong-arming" sounds nefarious and like they somehow didn't follow their process.
Pressuring the FDA to give formal approval as fast as possible, while respecting the process, makes all of the sense in the world, doesn't it?
To suggest that the motive for that is as a news distraction is idiotic IMO.

No matter to me really, but "cause I said so" is not proof of anything. For a year and a half the FDA said they could not give full approval for the shots... today they said they can. No explanation why/no questions fielded.
I was an inquisitive kid and still am, when something changes I want to know why.

I'm amazed that you and others aren't convinced by the data.

To date, 363 million doses of the vaccine have been given in the United States, and 171 million Americans are fully vaccinated.
This represents a HUGE number of data points, way way above what is seen when approving any other pharmaceutical.
I'm not sure what level of "proof" you are expecting. Seriously, if 363 million doses are not enough data for you, what is?!?

Unfortunately nothing is good enough to satisfy the individuals who espoused this. As we can see below, it's still a "conspiracy"
The interesting thing is what will happen when insurance companies and others start charging higher rates to non-vaccinated individuals because they cost significantly more to make better.
As they say, people vote with their wallets. Let's see if they base their medical decisions too.
