The bass in your left hand has to be at least 10 lbs.

largest I've seen in person is 9.13. Caught at Juniper Lake, Cheraw State Park. Company fishing tournament I used to get up for everyone. It was a lot of fun for years.

when we first started dating. I ran over to help her land it and saw THREE more monsters all bigger than hers spawning at the bank with their bloody tails a third out of the water. If I'd had a net with me I could have scooped 'em right out of the water.
Should have never mounted it for her. She had to remind me of it every time I headed out to fish.
And I had to fish hard for years before I caught one big enough to shut her up about her fish.

have a pond in Easley that was full, and I mean full of 4 to 12 pounders....30 plus acres that had hyrdilla in it....A good afternoon you might catch 30 over 4lbs. But, fish are like people. They don't all have the genes to become Big Dex. Well, a couple of guys I know kept hauling out large coolers of them. And then bam...you went from catching 15 to 30 pigs to 100 peckerheads. I am convinced they took all the big gene fish out .....

I released her and hope my son will catch her in the spring. I try to take out 50-100 lbs. of bream and bass/acre. Our pond is about 3.5 acres and has good depth, 10-12 ft. deepest. I release a good bit in hopes to one day hit that 10 lber.

Here's my fish story -you can believe it or not
Aug 24, 2020, 7:38 PM
|
|
Once had a friend take me to a pond that he had just gotten permission to fish - the owner said it had never been fished at all - ever. Something would hit any lure we threw in every cast . Some cows got in the water and large bluegills were jumping all the way out of the water to grab flies off the sides of the cows. We spent a long time cleaning fish.
