Jordan Williams transferring with 2 years is a big deal
Jan 4, 2021, 4:08 PM

This is the depth we are talking about that comes out in big games and when young talent is coming in. We will not be able to replace that depth in transfer portal. We lose bowman- we can’t replace bowman through portal. Someone will gain on our lost and we will not plug anyone else into that class or experience/talent. Welcome to the new college football- adjust

I'm just curious.HRBROWN say's that he is a Preacher and he he probably is ..Al Sharpton is also. He has on his bio that he graduated from Clemson, maybe so. Since you called him a coot have you fact checked him? But I know a few Clemson Grads that were coots before and after Graduation.

Capehart & Tre Williams would have likely passed him on the depth chart next year. His future snaps would have been primarily based on seniority-

Why is this a big deal? Explain what we are losing in some level of detail and back-up your hysterical thread title with facts. (And the portal is a different discussion).

already probably losing Pinckney I assume. ( possible with covid rules he could come back). only 1 early signee at DT. Maybe Murphy moves inside if needed? Although I will say, most that transfer away, don't seem to have much success elsewhere from my recollection.

Do y’all respond to everyone you are not in complete agreement like this. I’m tired

Of the coot stuff and the slander about my pastorate. I am a giving alumn of Clemson who never missed a football game home or away for my 4 years there. Even went to japan when we played duke over there. As a member of tigerband and the Pep band- I never missed a men’s and women’s home basketball game or acc tournament. I post as a very informed (though I get and express discouragement) paying tigernet member. Can we have intelligent, sincere convo and responses instead of insults just because you may disagree with my political approaches to things. Clemson is a public university within a democracy and not a facist state where others should constantly be denigrated on everything and anything they say or post because they approach issues differently. Did y’all go to college or to the ideologically segregated and small minded “country day school” all your lives? Get over it!!!

Your post suggests that those who didn't go to college are inferior to those who did. Some of the most incompetent people that I worked with were college grads. I know a lot of people that never went to college but made a lot of money in their career. College is for some but not for others.Get a life and quit whining.

It's not really normal to describe a message board as a democracy nor the people who disagree with you as fascists, unless one is of a particular political persuasion overpopulated by the participation trophy generation. Also, the "humble brag" does nothing to improve people's perception of you as little more than a negative troll.

I believe myself and many others are plenty objective when it comes to how our team performs. Your pulse implies that you are more than objective. You wouldn't have a pulse so low if you were just a fan who sees some flaws that we can fix. You must consistently talk crap about our boys and coaches to have a pulse that low.

Ruke Orhororo, Tre Williams, Demonte Capehart, and Etinosa Reuben will all have to take major strides. Payton Page could be an instant impact guy as well.

Agree with you. It is a big deal, to replace a veteran with that many snaps. He had played in big games and knows how to handle the big stage, plus a 22 year old senior is generally physically stronger than an 18, 19 year old freshman or sophomore.

5 of his 9 tackles this year were against the Citadel. With Tyler Davis, Bryan Bresee, Demonte Capehart, Tre Williams on the roster and Payton Page already enrolled, He would be 6th at best and possibly worse in the DT rotation next year.
He was not a difference maker and, though he is a Clemson man, his loss was expected and not significant.

Mr Brown,
We are not going to go to the portal so we need you to get over it. I have this rule myself and as a man of the cloth you may appreciate that I knew that my wife would not have been married before and certainly would not have children. I dated some and I knew I was making the right choice for me, because for me, I knew I wanted to marry a good decision maker and when they told me how bad of a decision they made marrying the other guy I knew immediately it disqualified her from one of the most important things I was personally looking for. Some may do well with it and I’m not here to say it’s wrong for them, this was my life and my decision to make regarding it.
Clemson has a coach named Dabo Swinney. He has said the same thing about transfers and we need to respect his decision. Others may do well with it, some maybe not. Either way, it’s his job on the line and his team to run as he sees fit. Hopefully this helps you to find peace with his decision either way because you keep on and on about it as if he is a bad coach for not accepting it. We here at Clemson love him and think he’s the bestest ever HC to coach...got me?

Coot, are you aware of Demonte Capehart and Tre Williams? Both former HS All-Americans, just freshmen. They'll be backing up the two best DTs in the league in Tyler Davis and Bryan Bresee. Payton Page will also come in at a ripe 330 pounds and ready to see the field. We're more than fine at DT.
