Any true CB on the planet has some arrogance to him. I thought the interview made the kid sound likes he’s grounded off the field but on it he knows what he wants and is arrogant in a way he needs to be to play the position…. See Mack Alexander.

Dave Campbell may not even still be alive.
If so, he’d be really old and I mean really, really old. He started a Texas football magazine covering every high school, college and Pro team in this state, and his first edition was in 1960. I started buying them my senior year in high school in 1976 and I had to borrow the money because we were poor. I bought every magazine for decades until about the mid 2000s because they became irrelevant due to the internet.
It was really one of a kind nationally. California put out a similar mag maybe briefly and I looked for others across known high school football hotbeds like Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Florida but never found them.
Dave Campbell is still produced but the internet has threatened its existence so they’ve finally adapted to the times. There’s no current Dave Campbell active with the business so I don’t know who the so called analyst Gipson is supposedly sharing info with.
The thinking by locals is he stays here, but we’re talking an 18 year old and they can be totally unpredictable. He’s good buddies with a Texas commitment and a few that are supposedly leaning towards a Texas commitment, but again he’s a kid and who really knows.

channel - all you have to do is Google that and you can find the channel and watch their other posted videos on TX hs football. Not difficult to locate.

Yes, I am aware of their channel and especially of YouTube. Google is my friend and I Don even need google to fin it easily on YouTube. I’m just saying it’s named after a man, but it’s not actually Dave Campbell who is either extremely old or passed away and I believe he’s gone.
I’m also saying I wished other states had some other visionary guys like Dave Campbell to put out preseason magazines about local football. But, football is king in Texas.

Also noticed that.
Can’t believe players call him Dabo. Does anyone on staff even say just “Dabo”?? MAYBE “Coach Dabo”?
I would think it would be Coach Swinney, thought I suspect most of the time it’s just “Coach.”

I mean come on really, do we want proper manners on the field or a talented CB? His talent is what we want, manners can be taught that athleticism cannot be on the other hand. Let’s get this kid I think we got a lot better shot than ppl think!! Go Tigers!!!
