Give me your best comparison for CK2

There’s actually multiple college QBs you could compare him to with his style of play.
I don’t think he is as sporadic as Johnny Manziel, but I could see it.
DW is a pretty good comparison by Dabo, but I think Cade is actually faster. Maybe Deshaun without the knee injuries could match it.
I like a Zach Wilson comparison. Of course when he was at BYU. Can sling it, but also knows how to move around the pocket rapidly.

Two from the state of Florida.

I think he has some similar qualities, just needs the experience, as these two:
1. Charlie Ward. Probably not quite as mobile. But, a little bigger and probably a little stronger arm.
2. Danny Wuerffel. More mobile. Arm strength probably about the same.
But, here is where I think the similarity to both are. 1. Understands the offense and knows how to run it. 2. Confident but not cocky. 3. Makes everyone else on the team better.
Both those guys won a Heisman and a Natty. Wouldn't shock me for CK to equal that.

Whoa with the Danny Wuerffel likeness. Cade is much taller, has a stronger arm and a better runner. No doubt Wuerffel had a great college career and we will be lucky to win it all like he did. And Cade will be lucky to win the Heisman as Wuerffel did to give him his due. But physically Cade is just a better specimen.

Cade is bigger than Danny and even bigger than Cholly.
I should have mentioned that Cade is a better runner.
My point, so poorly made, was that none of the three are guys who are imposing physical speciments with a cannon for an arm. But, all three (from all indications about Cade even though he hasn't had the full opportunity to show it on the field) is 1. They are smart. 2. They understand the offense. 3. Most importantly - they make everyone around them better.
#3 is the big factor. If Cade can do that to the level that Cholly and Danny did, then he has the physical talent to be an outstanding QB.

Yeah if he ended up like Charlie Ward I could be pretty confident in saying Cade would win at least one national championship. And a Heisman of course.
I think the amount of natural poise a QB has oversees all of the other intangibles that are in QBs. The first time I ever saw Deshaun I saw zero signs of uncertainty in himself. Or any signs of anything outside of him affecting him in any way. If you have that, you are able to not worry so much about your own game, and to lift others up in all the other ways.
Sure hope you’re right.

Excellent point to bring up the poise factor.
CK2 has both confidence and skills, but his poise is a work in progress.
As you had mentioned, DeShaun was poised from the git-go. Watched the replay of 2024 UGA vs Clemson game. DeShaun’s first college PT … between the hedges, no less. Poisepersonified.
CK2 showed nothing like DW4’s level of poise.
HOWEVER, poise can be developed. I have high hopes that the combination of CK2’s playing experiences from last year (during tough circumstances) and what promises to be a quick kill / fast pace of offense this year will do miracles for CK2’s poise growth.

With one start under his belt, there isn't enough body of work to really even make a good comparison. Ask again at the end of of the season.

I am thinking the arm of Jeff George, the legs of Michael Vick, and then everything else is a hybrid of Joe Montana and Tom Brady.

CK will be what Coach Riley develops him into. That is good enough for me. The coach has a lot to work with in this young man. Let’s hope that he becomes the best ever.

There is not enough seen yet to know exactly what CK is going to be. I think in October we will know. And I think he will be CK - maybe some similarities to others but will emerge as his own style. Hoping for a banner year and he leads to a National Championship.

As a player, not the skill set. Kyle Parker before the injury. I’m basing this on the caliber of QB I think he is.

From what I saw of him in Spring game and the PT he got last year, CK2 is similar to Kyle Parker, although KP had a stronger arm and CK2 has quicker feet.

Matt Corral or Eli Manning maybe? Weird that I thought of 2 rebel qb’s. Hoping Cade improves inside the red zone. Looks great driving but not at all efficient in the red zone.

Right now, Cade is as much a threat on the ground as in the air. I hope to trust him more in the air the longer we go.

You guys are heaping a lot of praise on the young man and wonder how you all are making these comparisons in such limited action.
I hope and pray he is great and I do expect that but I have no one to compare him to at this point.

I need to see more games with CK2 to make one, UNC had half their defensive starters sit out the championship game and Tennessee don't have a good defense.
