Was just thinking about how this season, in some ways, is reminding me of 2016. We had the slow start almost losing to Troy and Auburn--unfortunately we lost one this time around (but we did lose to Pitt that year albeit a much closer game). There was also the Louisville hype machine leading up to our game, and pretty much all season until they lost to Kentucky--this year it is FSU. Here's to hoping that we have a similar result vs FSU as we did vs Louisville and really see our offense click for the first time all year; and then the same result for the season. A guy can dream, right?

Not as far fetched as some would try to make it out to be, offense besides the self inflicted wounds has flashed. Think Beaux needed a game like he had last Saturday and will continue to build on it.

That team was really sloppy early, and a lot of the year. They just wanted to play in the natty and the regular season was an inconvenience. Hoping this team can turn it on the same before we lose another game. Not giving up this team quite yet, talent is there.

This is a reasonable take IMO. Hopefully our Defense can perform as well as that 2016 unit. But I agree the offense has shown promise. If it’s just cleaned up it could be very efficient

the 2016 Clemson team was light years better than this 2023 team.

team that just weren't playing up to their potential (offense specifically). Everyone knew what their ceiling was because of what they did in 2015.
I don't really see that here. We were massively more talented at QB and WR, had the power rangers on DL, had some awesome leaders, etc.

IF we beat Florida St and right the ship and things starting clicking who knows where we can go! All the potential in the world and momentum would be on our side!
Lose to F St and the wheels fall off. 2 conference losses before September ends? 😬😬
Crazy that next weekend is such a HUGE game.
Go Tigers!!

Cade is not DeShaun Watson and there is no Christian Wilkins or Ben Boulware type of leader on defense. This year is nothing like 2016.

Oh I agree… just some random thoughts from my day thinking about this upcoming FSU game in a couple weeks… they hype for them really reminded me of Louisville. Unfortunately the personnel on our side doesn’t give me the same feels from 16.

Because we learn if this team is progressing and able to execute and dominate. If tomorrow night goes poorly, then the FSU game could be a moot point. If it goes well, we will be loading for bear against FSU!
Go Tigers!
