What lost us the game

the obvious hold not called at the end of the first half on FSU, the terrible PI called against us at the end of the first half. The fumble returned for a TD. The conservative play calling on the missed FG drive. And of course the missed FG.
Defense played good. WRs continue to play better and better with each passing week. Ship and Mafah are still playing good. Oline isn’t opening enough holes in the running game. Cade is throwing the deep ball better.
Bottom line, cut out the turnovers and missed/blocked FGs, and we can beat every team that remains on our schedule.

Can we stop whining about refs when our team is the reason for the loss?***

Clemson lost today because they made horrendous mistakes and FSU did not.

While I agree with all of your points, if we could have eliminated TO’s and missed FG’s, we could have won all the games. Snakebit in my opinion.

Forget the rest of the season at this point

Need to fast forward now to get ready for next year. Start coaching searches, play the promising freshmen, etc. I would even play Vizzina 40% of the time now too. Amd throw Gunn out there and bludgeon him into becoming a reliable kicke even if he costs us 4 more losses.
Because no matter what we do now matters not for this year. We can win out and it means zero. The whole season was riding on the D to stop FSU (but Wes couldn’t be bothered) and the O to score 7 points early and often (but Riley, Mafah and Cade couldn’t be bothered, especially late in the game and in OT).
This one is squarely on the coaches.

Totally disagree about Gunn. Was at a tailgate with Weitz’s family and they were heartbroken. When Johnathon showed up, he was obviously distraught. Still it is not fair to put this on him. He had less than a week to prepare. Further, benching (discarding) him for the “future” is just wrong after he changed his plans for the team.
Now, as for this one being on the coaches, I will withhold judgement until I rewatch the game tonight. I have my opinions, but I want confirmation when not so much in the heat of the moment.

There are always going to be "missed calls" by refs. There are usually 10+ holding flags that could be called, but aren't. FSU was holding X on multiple plays.
No. Our issue is Wes. I really wanted to give him time to develop, as a coach, but I don't see it happening. Our LBs are supposed to be the best in the country. The y repeatedly stood at the LOS and watched the QB. They missed multiple screen passes. Our sack numbers have gone down significantly. I believe they have all the talent, but they are not in position.
I miss BV. I miss Boulware; he would be jumping up and down, pointing out the play that was about to occur. Multiple times he knew what the opposing offense was going to do and was at the point of attack. This year isn't over. At this point, it is training. We, also, don't need to have any embarrassing losses. Besides dook.....

FSU only had 22 yards rushing and only a total of 311 yards of offense. Jordan Travis didn’t do anything in the second half until the TD throw in OT, which wouldn’t have happened without the fumble recovery for the TD and missed FG.

You left out conditioning and complacency both of which fall into the category of "coaching"! But it is always nice to blame the officials .
