So why didn't they drop FSU out of the top 4 as soon as Travis was injured . They were placed in top 4 after the Florida game in which they used their backup QB
That's why your argument and the committee argument makes no sense. No matter whether you believe the committee made the right choice in the end or not, there is no way to reconcile the decision making for the playoff rankings throughout the process

he was never, at any point, talked about as a Heishman favorite, or even top 3. For the whole year the conversation has been 3-5 others (Nix, Penix, Daniels, Williams, Harrison Jr).
So it's wild to me, that the committee chose to predict the future with regards to FSU's potential in the CFP without him, while the media barely acknowledged his achievements throughout the season.
Very Double standardish if you ask me...

The FSU postseason CFP snub was based on the committee's disinclination or reluctance of having to explain why the committee didn't include the $EC Champion in the CFP. Since Texas beat the SEC champion head-to-head, they couldn't include Alabama and omit Texas. So instead, they made FSU and the Jordan Travis injury the scapegoat.

This would make more sense than the argument "the only reason they left FSU out is Travis injury."
I truly believe that the committee made it's decision immediately after Bama beat UGA

He’s telling it like it is.
Again, it’s not “FSU” specifically, it’s the broken system.
12 teams will help alleviate the corruption and media nonsense, but the foundation of the corruption needs to be destroyed immediately. Put precise rules in and go forward. Can’t trust humans to do the right thing.

12 teams??? Watch...4 will be from the SEC, 4 from the Big 10, 2 from the Big12, 1 from the ACC, and 1 from the group of 5. Count on something like this.

Exactly, they need specific rules.

When the CFP was formed they should have made a rule that all undefeated power 5 champions were in the playoff unless there were five unbeaten power five champions. Everyone probably assumed that the only way an undefeated power five champion would ever be left out was if five were undefeated.
