Elliot leaving

Funny, nobody is even mentioning the possibility that all of the negative comments about him on this forum by Clemson "fans" may have something to do with Elliot deciding it was time to leave......

I doubt Elliot gives two ##### what this board thinks. He's leaving a Coordinator position to be a head coach. Money is better and he runs his own program. Simple as that.

Do you seriously believe coaches look at fan sites? I just hope potential recruits don't look at the sites.

Agree JP, Coaches and players. Could be why Mukuba posted what he did on Twitter. Some fans think that players and coaches never come over here to see what fans are saying whether it be positive or negative. In today’s world , feelings tend to get hurt. Especially 18-21 year olds.

Mukuba has nothing to worry about from this board. Everyone on this board has praised his talents.

True, but have you ever thought that the ones getting bashed about transferring were ones that he had friendships with and supported them in their decision to transfer?

Yes, and we all know that in previous seasons, Elliot had the choice to leave and did not...but this year, the first time he really had a lot of criticism on this site, he chose to leave...could not possibly be any relation, right?

There were plenty of dumb post spitting negativity toward him all year….but I’m very certain TNET is not even on a coaches radar as to best decision for him snd his family. UVA is not the greatest school but for a first time coach it’s not that bad either. Apparently had his choice of Duke or UVA and went with the Hoos. Wish his success except when he plays his alma mater

I highly doubt he would leave over hate from a football forum.

Agree, but when you talk loyalty coming into play...like we know it has in the past, many posters here removed the loyalty concept by attacking him...Why remain loyal to people who throw you under the truck?

Wait till he’s 4 and 8 at Virginia, this year will feel like a vacation. Would suggest another career if you’re not prepared for second guessing and criticism. Thinking this board had anything to do with his decision to leave now is ridiculous. Every program suffers impatient critical fans, it’s part of the game. Being an armchair QB is also one of the joys of being a fan.
