Can anyone defend that? A program like Clemson should not be giving scholarships to 5' 9" sons of the coach's buddies. No wonder there are no scholarships to use on the portal.

To “developmental” guys.

That’s the nicest way I could say that. Every year at the end of the recruiting cycle we hand a few out. Instead of going and knocking down doors for guys that we could truly use.
