Hoops is a college game that you will have to have a pretty good winning record, or fans won't bother coming to the games.

The traffic after the game was terrible. If we keep winning they need to have more cops directing traffic.

I had to drop someone in Greenville on way back to Columbia. It was a long night. Don’t do many weeknight games anymore. I do the SCar game and try to find a baseball weekend with a home basketball game each season. That’s about it these days.

at least. IDK if it’s where the crowd mics were placed, the redesign of LJ itself, or what. But it does not come across like the craziness and loudness the old building design had.

Also, the mics, I think, are part of the video board system along with the cameras. The cameras are state of the art. They can cover a ton of footage.

You’ve outed yourself. That UVA game was sold out and packed. The place was absolutely set to explode when cut it to 2, not at all unlike when we took the lead Wednesday. Unfortunately in the UVA game we fell apart after pulling within 2. So you can just double down on lying to maintain your grudge or you can cut bait. Doesn’t matter to me.

Yes. I picked that date for a reason Judge. Since you have no actual memory of that game I’ll refresh you memory. We had come off a Sweet 16 season. We were ranked in the preseason and as high as 16th. We finished the preseason schedule 10-3 with one of our harder non-conferences slates. Losses were to Creigton, Nebraska, and Miss State. All respectable and we had avoided the “bad loss”. Our ACC openers were brutal - on the road against #1 ranked Duke then a trip to Syracuse. Virginia was our first home game in 2 weeks and first home game against a P5 school. We were a team that made the Sweet Sixteen and had aspirations of doing better this season. Virginia was ranked #4 in the country and it was THE game to course correct. The crowd absolutely showed up and were fired up well into the second half when it fell completely apart. We lost that game and 2 of the next 3 effectively ending our post season chances.
Now, when has there been a better game environment since then? 19-20 when we started 6-7 on the way to 16-15? The 20-21 Covid season? Perhaps 21-22 where we played a single ranked opponent at home all season and lost amidst a 6 game losing streak. Or last year when we were effectively eliminated from the NCAAs after losses to Loyola-c and SCar before conference play even started. We played 23 Duke and 24 Miami at home that season. My recollection is rather apathetic crowds last year. We averaged 6500 attendance last season which I think is the lowest on record (not counting Covid and renovation year numbers).
I stand fully behind my assertion and that you would even argue the point reveals a number of possibilities about you as a user of this forum - none of them good.

Sold out crowd that was very into the game despite the insincere protestations of some bad actors on this board. We pulled to within 2 in the second half and the crowd was bonkers. Unfortunately the team fell flat the rest of the way. Could have been a pivotal game for Coach Brownell.

I attended the first game in Littlejohn way back when, then saw a lot of games in my 5 years living in Clemson. I then lived in Greenville for a couple of years and got to see a fair number of games. A few years back I went to several games with a friend who had season tickets.
The game vs SC on Wednesday night was my first visit to the new Littlejohn. Long story short, I think the new Littlejohn is better than the old Littlejohn. The atmosphere was great throughout the game despite our slow start in the first half. After halftime, the atmosphere built steadily as we came back, held on, and then became a madhouse when victory came into sight. It was a crazy when the final seconds ticked off the clock. I am not sure how it could have ever been much louder at a basketball game in Clemson very often.
I tip my hat to the team, to the designers of the new Littlejohn, and most of all to the fans at the game this week who made noise, supported the team and were really rocking. Ian Schiefflelin had a couple of huge rebounds late where him bringing the ball down essentially brought the house down.
I loved the game. If you haven't been lately, go now to support this team and to enjoy a rocking good time in Tiger Town.

Please explain to me how I "outed myself" by not knowing about the INSANE atmosphere of a blowout loss where we never led, and lost by 20. I remember the game well. It very ugly game to watch. We only scored 43 points.
Once we got it to 2, they were back up to a 10+ point lead in just a few minutes. Are you saying that aingular moment of getting it to 2 was an amazing atmosphere, or the whole game gad an amazing g atmosphere. I would imagine there would be a huge difference in atmospheres of games where we beat our rival and only were down by 11 for a brief moment, then a 20 point blowout loss where we struggled offensively and the game was pretty much over halfway through the second half.

You’re parroting Judge Keller’s ill conceived post about that game that caused him to lose so much pulse that he put 50 users on ignore and went into hiding for months. So you are sycophantically aping his ######## with absolutely no idea what you’re talking about or you’re just another troll - like him.
As shared with your fellow Judge worshipping profile:
“Yes. The Virginia game in 2019 is the second most attended game at Littlejohn since then. The only game with more was a UNC game with a whopping 6 more people when any chance of the post season was already gone. Like the USC game we trailed, and badly, early. Like the USC game we made it close in the 2nd half (2 points) and the crowd was bananas. But we punched through in one and not the other. You’re a liar. JK is liar. And CMShack is a liar. All your posturing for all this time has just been trolling bullsh*t.

Ok you tipped your hat. The reason you used that specific game is because of your weird and creepy obsession with JK.
Sure there might have been hype leading ip to the game, but there is no way that was one of the best in game environments since over the last 4 years. Maybe the crowd got excited at that 1 moment when we got it to 2, but UVA dominated the entire game except for about a few minute stretch.
The duke game last year where we were 6-0 in the ACC was 100% a better in game atmosphere than a blowout loss to UVA where we only scored 40 points. Im not talking 1 single moment. I am talking the entire game.

I didn’t tip my hat - I stated conclusively. I knew the crowd was great at that game and that he was pure trolling. Since you’re a troll who weren’t at any of the games in question you’re opinion is irrelevant. You, Shack, and Mountaineers have all doubled down that the atmosphere was terrible. Not just arguably not the best. It was oversold and is, to date, the 2nd largest crowd since the renovation and only second by 6 people. You are incorrect. You could apologize and admit you’ve blindly followed JK but I doubt that’ll happen.
