Yes a million times. Any Power 5 team that goes 13-0 is a great team. I would never deny that team a CFP slot unless there were 5 teams in that boat. We are talking about young men who busted their ### for months and risked permanent injury to play the game and win every game they played which is not an easy task for any team. Dabo always talks about how hard it is to win. Especially to go 13-0 and win the conference.
That committee did not give a single thought to those young men and their effort and sacrifice. That is why those sorry ### Athletic Directors never wanted players to share in the billions of dollars they were generating for the hangers on. They were just a means to an end and that end was big bucks. Same mentality displayed on Sunday. And so we have NIL.

I get your point, but the premise of the question was, if you didn’t know what the records were before this weekend would you still have picked Florida State based on the eye test of watching all five conference championship games?
I do understand you can’t really do that but it does feel like they picked the Top 4 from what they watched this weekend.

The games have to matter, period. And to put Bama in there with a loss, who looked like crap, repeatedly this season, is complete and total bullcrap.

Too bad that Auburn could not have handled business with Bama on the final play (another coaching error/mistake - really? only rushing 2). But then again, the committee would have probably had Ohio State jump FSU if Bama beat Georgia and had 2 losses.
